Hat tip Daily Californian
"I'm back in the saddle again."
Last week I visited UC Berkeley for the first time. I was struck by the beauty of the campus and surprised at how tranquil it was.
I must have gone on one of their off-days.
Yes, it seems the place is back in rhythm as evidenced by these recent events reported in the campus fish wrap, The Daily Californian. In the first article, the school's weeny chancellor Nick Dirks tries to dialogue with protesters disrupting a meeting he was chairing. In the second, black students blocked Sather Gate protesting the fact that they are "inconvenienced" at UCB. All this time, the campus gendarmes were apparently doing what they do best-writing parking tickets.

The only thing missing is UCB prof Hatem Bazian exhorting the crowd,
"Are you angry? Are you angry? Are you angry?"
(What? Me angry?)

I may previously mentioned that I spent the summer of 1966 taking some classes there, at which time it was a real ZOO!!! Probably usually still is.
Not really. Only on certain days or weeks.
