In the wake of recent scandals involving the alleged frequenting of prostitutes by DEA and Secret Service employees, Eric Holder (Yes, he is still our attorney general) has sent out a memo to all DOJ employees warning them that such conduct will be punished. Holder says that frequenting prostitutes, whether in the US or overseas, whether legal or illegal in the concerned location, is against DOJ standards and will not be tolerated.

Unfortunately, the memo does not address DOJ employees directing their subordinates to allow the trafficking of guns purchased under surveillance in the US to cross into Mexico. Nor does the memo address the responsibility of DOJ employees to testify truthfully before Congress under oath.
