You have to hand it to MSNBC's butter and egg man, Ed Schultz. The man has timing. Yesterday, he suggested that it might be a good idea to disarm the Ferguson, Missouri police. That way, you know, guys like Michael Brown couldn't try to take their guns away from them. Hours later, two Ferguson cops were shot.

According to Ed's reasoning, if Ferguson cops were only armed with night sticks, when the next Michael Brown came along and took away said nightstick, the cop would be defenseless as he or she was getting his or her brains bashed in. Michael Brown, however, would still be alive.
With logic like this, Ed might someday get his own show on MSNBC.

The cops would quickly learn what happens when you take your nightstick to a gunfight, much like what Michael Brown found out after taking his fists to one.
