DHS Hires MPAC Official (Harris Tarin)

Hat tip Louis and Investigative Project on Terrorism

First Mohammed Elibiary. Now this:

Harris Tarin of the Muslim Public Affairs Council, an arm of the Muslim Brotherhood, has been hired by DHS. He will be a senior policy adviser in the Civil Rights and Civil Liberties section.

This is hardly surprising given the present nature of DHS, but it is highly troubling. Tarin has a history of criticizing law enforcement agencies like the NYPD for their counter-terrorism practices. He is also a critic of our international military efforts to fight terrorists. In addition, he is apparently an admirer of Yusuf al Qaradawi, the spiritual leader of the Muslim Brotherhood, a man who is barred from entering the US.

This is a man who has no business in DHS. One wonders given his past statements, how he could even get a security clearance.

But this is the Obama administration.

Gary,

you said: "One wonders given his past statements, how he could even get a security clearance."

Here is the answer:
From Audacity of Hope written by Barack Obama, on page 261 in the paperback edition:
“I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction”

Obviously, Obama will not stand with Americans
