People by the hundreds of thousands have taken to the streets of Paris and other French cities, as well as the French embassy in Berlin to express solidarity with the victims of today's attack in which 12 persons were killed by Islamic jihadists. The chant is, "Je suis Charlie" ( I am Charlie) and the sign is pens held high in the air in support of freedom of the press.
