Hat tip Scholars for Peace in the Middle East
The below article by Melanie Phillips describes the on-going anti-Israel campaign by pro-Palestinian agitators, a campaign that has resulted worldwide in a resurgence in Jew hatred. In Europe, it would seem the focal point is on the streets. In the US, it is on university campuses.

Within the University of California, there have been messages from administrators recently calling for civility on campuses. Often these messages don't even mention what the point of contention is. The point of contention is almost always the Israel-Palestinian conflict.
And why would this faraway conflict be the number one hot button issue on North American college campuses (I include Canada )? It is because a well financed and well organized pro-Palestinian lobby has made it so, assisted by far left activists and yes, major Muslim organizations like CAIR and other like-minded groups.
And the result has been the creation of a climate of fear and intimidation for Jewish students who wish to assert their Jewish identity and support for Israel. It should be noted that it is not always pro-Palestinian students who are guilty of intimidation. You also find it in the classroom being carried out by professors. Sometimes it is manifested by professors in campus seminars or while participating in campus events.
If the University of California really wants to open a discussion on free speech and civility on campuses, they should openly address the biggest aspect of the problem: The Israeli-Palestinian issue and the anti-Semitism that results from the constant drumbeat of anti-Israel propaganda.
