Major Archeological Discovery

May explain what happened to the Lost City of Chicago

June 10, 5,014

Scientists have announced the discovery of a 1,000- year-old skeleton that may explain what led to the sudden destruction of the fabled Lost City of Chicago, which disappeared sometime in the fourth millenium.

Head researcher Acdhteo Zdreocx told reporters that the skeleton was found in the general location of where Chicago was thought to have been located on the Shore of Lake Michigan in an area thought to have been the city's sports colosseum. The bones were clothed in a faded blue t- shirt  with some kind of circular symbol reading "Cubs" and including the inscription in Olde English, "Its gonna happen." Dr Zdreocx opined that it may be a forewarning of an impending natural disaster although bears were not thought to have inhabited the region at that time. The skeleton was surrounded by bricks and leaves believed to be long dead ivy.

Now that the Brewers have been ruled out of the playoffs, after leading NL Central Division most of the year, I can root for the Cubs to win the last three games of the season, without any qualms or reservations or divided loyalties. I see they won the first of three handily too.

Either 2015 or 2016 is the Cubs' year. If you don't believe it, you're not a real Cubs fan.
