Yes, this would be good news. The dream Hamas's leaders have sold that the organization can defeat Israel is ringing hollow, and that may cost it considerably in popular support.
Now, the hard part... Israel has to devise a strategy whereby it can present itself to the population of Gaza as liberators, while maintaining security, and, of course, making sure no ultra Orthodox settlements sneak back in.
