Imam in Jerusalem Calls for Jihad Against Jews

Hat tip Jihad Watch and MEMRI

This is good stuff.

Here is a clip produced by MEMRI of a sermon by some fanatical imam named Sheikh Nidhal Siam in E Jerusalem on July 18. It is truly ludicrous. In this sermon, this ibn sharmota refers to a "British study" (probably by Monte Python's Flying Circus) that says that the Egyptian army could crush Israel in a matter of days. He calls on Egypt to annex Gaza.

Well, first of all, Egypt and all those glorious Arab armies have tried to defeat Israel in 1948, 1967 and 1973. They have failed. Secondly, Egypt under its current leadership has no desire to go to war with Israel nor to annex Gaza. Who the hell would want it? Maybe word has not reached the sheikh, but Egypt is blockading the southern border between Gaza and Egypt too.

So to Sheikh Siam, I say, "Take your fatwas and shove them".

"Annex this."

Regarding those " glorious Arab armies" they have never won a war against anything but another Arab country.

When I was in the service we would occasionally get an guest speaker from an Israeli commander. Our Army was interested and impressed with Israeli strategies in winning so fast and completely. I remember one session where he was discussing how and why they dropped drums of gasoline behind enemy lines. The theory, which worked out, had gasoline available for their tanks when they would get there. In the Q & A session, he admitted what the bigger aspect was by saying, "Thankfully, we were fighting Arabs."

More often than not, their armies break and run. More than once Israeli units have had to pick up barefoot, starving deserters in the Sinai.

The illiteracy rate in Egypt alone is 50% so they are anything but glorious.

At West Point they teach the tactics of every nation but Israel. Their reason is that they cannot figure out Israeli tactics. Just look at Day One of the Yom Kippur War (1973). 250 Syrian tanks against 6 Israeli and a very long night. The Israeli tanks were guarding the road to the Galilee, and wouldn't be reenforced until the next day.

The next morning there were 2 Israeli tanks guarding the road and 175 Syrians running for their lives. Now explain how they did that. The Israeli commander swears that G-d fought that battle for him. The Americans cannot figure out how they did it.
