Hat tip Gallia Watch and Francois Desouche
In the wake of last week's riots in Paris by Arabs and other pro-Palestinian forces, the French banned pro-Palestinian demonstrations.
No matter.
Yesterday, it was a similar scene as thousands of pro-Palestinians turned out to do what they know best.
Commit mayhem.
-UK Daily Mail
Gallia Watch has a report with video and photos. There is also a link to the French-language blog, Francois Desouche with much more.

But in a classic example of how the media treats these things, note how Yahoo.com/News headlines the same event.
http://news.yahoo.com/video/french-police-fire-tear-gas-171126159.html
"French police fire tear gas at Pro-Palestianian protesters after they defy a ban on a planned demonstration against violence in the Gaza strip." (Emphasis mine)
(One would say that they have a weird way of demonstrating against violence.)
The pattern is so familiar. Pro-Israel demonstrations are carried out lawfully and peacefully. Pro-Palestinian demonstrations are not even worthy of the word. They invariably turn out violent.
That should give you a clue as to who is on the right side.

Siarlys,
The circumstances merit comparison. Only the actors are different. As for Milwaukee beer, I find it greatly over-rated. I was in Milwaukee in 63 and 69. The second time was after serving in Germ, any. I was taken to this iconic German restaurant downtown. The food and the German beer left much to be desired. I've also tried a few Wisconsin craft brews in bottles over the years. Nothing to write home about.
So what's left? Miller High Life, Schlitz and that outfit that makes Old Style?
C'mon!

So, have the French had enough?

Somehow, I doubt their will and ability to enforce their own law. It is more likely they will be the first to surrender to the Muslims. I'm not a big fan of the French.
Somehow I doubt whether anyone in France cares what Miggie thinks.
Gary, I wouldn't know the quality of Milwaukee beer, because I don't drink it. I read the praise of the new craft breweries in the local press, and figure its your area of expertise. Been a while since '69. All the big breweries are gone, except Miller/Coors has a museum that produces actual beer so tourists can come watch them doing so. I think the primary stocks are made in China, or Honduras, or something.
Siarlys--glad to see that you also know Mel Famey. Oldie but goodie, have no told it in a LONG time..
Siarlys,
Coors is made in Colorado. Shows how much you know about beer-as much as you know politics.
You're behind the times Gary. Miller and Coors have merged. Their headquarters is in Chicago. Probably denigrates both brands. No doubt the combined company still does some production in Colorado. The museum in Milwaukee bears the full corporate name.
elwood, politics may come and go, but Mel Famey will live forever.
