Hat tip Campus Reform
While Al Gore was at Princeton telling a student audience that the struggle against global warming is akin to the struggle of apartheid, Robert Reich (ex-Labor Secretary under Bill Clinton) was telling students at Berkeley that the struggle to raise the mininum wage is akin to the civil rights struggle in the 1960s.

“It took guts to take on the power structure of Mississippi a half-century ago. It takes guts to take on the power structure of giant companies like Wal-Mart and McDonalds now,” he wrote.
Tell that to the families of Michael Schwerner, Andrew Goodman and James Chaney, the three civil rights workers who were murdered in Mississippi. Tell that to the family of Medger Evers, a civil rights leader also murdered in Mississippi. Mississippi in the 1960s was very dangerous for civil rights workers. When Wal-Mart and McDonald's start shooting people, Professor Reich, let me know.
This guy talks like he's been smoking his socks.
