Richard Silverstein (Blogger in Seattle) Tells European Jews Nothing to Worry About

You talk about chutzpah! Up there in the latte shops of Seattle, anti-Israel blogger Richard Silverstein sits in comfort and pronounces that all this talk about anti-Semitism in Europe is a bunch of hooey. He knows better.

Take that shooting recently in Brussels. Four people killed by a French Muslim. But that's all wiped you see because the 4th victim, who is of mixed Jewish-Muslim origin, is being buried in a Muslim cemetery in Morocco.

Below is my comment on Silverstein's blog:

"This one takes the cake, Silverstein.

So forget the Jews leaving Malmo in droves. Forget the killings in Toulouse. Forget the assaults of Jews in France by Muslim immigrants. Forget the young Jewish boy tortured for days and killed in Paris a few years back. Forget what happened in Brussels. It's all fiction according to the arrogant Silverstein sitting in Seattle."

It takes a pretty arrogant guy to sit in comfort in Seattle and tell European Jews they have nothing to worry about.

I was going to write a musical once, about a Jewish girl who fell in love with a Palestinian Muslim, or maybe it was a Jewish man and a Muslim woman. I was going to call it "I don't know why you say salaam, I say shalom" to the tune of a well-known Beatles air. Then I read about a Serbian and a Croatian, can't remember which was male and which female, who were shot while trying to embrace in no-man's land. I don't think Silverstein knows much about that either, but sorting people out into tribal groups is not conducive to a happy life for anyone.
