Hagel Announces Bergdahl Release to Troops in Afghanistan-Met With Silence
Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel visited the troops in Afghanistan at the Bagram Air Base, where he was greeted with applause. Yet when he announced to them the release of Bowe Bergdahl, calling it a "happy day", he was met with stone cold silence. The below clip is from TPC, a military channel, which explains why there was no editorial comment.

David Letterman said that the reason that the negotiations took so long was that we wanted to include Joe Biden in the swap and the Taliban refused.
We finally let it go.
I might have gone along with the deal if they would have taken Obama.... but I don't know if they have golf courses in Afghanistan so it would have been a difficult pitch all around.
He is an irrelevant pathetic nonentity. Obama chose him because he was willing to oversee the dwindling of our military capacity.
