Bergdahl: Is This True?

Hat tip Creeping Sharia, Jihad Watch and Frontpage Magazine

Jihad Watch is running a report that after Bowe Bergdahl disappeared from this unit in 2009, the Taliban began setting off unusually accurate IEDs.

http://www.jihadwatch.org/2014/06/after-bergdahl-disappeared-ieds-started-going-off-directly-under-the-trucks-they-were-getting-perfect-hits-every-time

Now add this report from the Daily Mail (UK) in 2010. This report claimed that Bergdahl had converted to Islam and was teaching the Taliban bomb-making skills.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1305184/Bowe-Bergdahl-Taliban-claim-captured-U-S-solider-teaching-fighters-bomb-making-skills.html

I don't know if either report is accurate, but if so, the question now is whether we knew of this. If  the answer to all three is yes, than our government has a lot of questions to answer as to why we gave up 5 major Taliban commanders to get this guy back.

As if they didn't already.

Incomprehensible stupid decision!

Obama is doing all future presidents a favor by setting the bar so low. They can all look back and compare their record to this utter failure of a president in every significant index.

At times individuals interpret the same events at such different angels of vision that their actions are nearly incomprehensible one to another. I will confess that more than I ever imagined, I have that feeling with this president.

The Daily Mail is about as reliable as the National Enquirer.

If you want to take that article seriously, the first thing to ask is, how do they know, and what evidence do they have?

Siarlys,

The Daily Mail is indeed a tabloid. Come to think of it, the NY Times has become a tabloid as well. It seems that their article is being corroborated by testimony of the fellow troops and that classified report that was released.
