Suicide bomber in Syria was American
As we have often reported here, virtually every Western intelligence agency is concerned about those who are leaving their respective countries to join the fighting in Syria-generally on the side of the rebels. We are all concerned about what these jihadists might do if and when they return. That, of course, has drawn the ire of apologists like Hatem Bazian up at UC Berkeley, CAIR and others who see it as more "Islamophobia".
This is why we are concerned.

I don't know who this guy was, but let's just say better in Syria than here in the US.
PS: I hope he didn't blow up the cat too.

Speaking as a civil libertarian, and as a libertarian (two different things, although there is some common ground), anyone who can be documented as having fought in Syria with ISIS or similar groups can and should be interned for violation of laws concerning serving in armed forces fighting in a government with which the United States is not at war. In England the legal basis is broader, wrongly in my seldom humble opinion, but their law is their law, and application would be efficacious.
The fact that they are inspired by some conception of Islam is, and should be, irrelevant. Taking up arms is the relevant fact. Motive can be a relevant part of the evidence, but it is decidedly secondary.
