Days ago, I posted a story about a Christian woman in Sudan who has been sentenced to hang for the "crime" of apostasy from Islam even though she claims to have been a Christian all her life. She is married to a Christian who is also an American citizen as is her 20-month-old child. To make matters even worse, it appears nobody in the US Embassy is willing to help her. This is being discussed quite thoroughly at The American Conservative. Some advocates of strict immigration enforcement have pointed out that the case is not so clear cut as it seems. Of course one might wish to bend the laws a little if it gets this woman out of Sudan and saves her life. Check out the discussion though -- its quite enlightening.
