House Votes Lois Lerner in Contempt

Hat tip The Blaze

The House of Representatives, as expected, has voted to hold former IRS official Lois Lerner in contempt.

While I am not a lawyer, I agree with the proposition that Lerner effectively waived her 5th amendment rights in her first appearance before the House Committee on Government Oversight and Reform by making an an opening statement and asserting her innocence.

Not in nearly as much contempt as the American people seem to hold congress.

(There is, last I read, a slight difference between parties: 15 percent approval of Democrats and 10 percent approval of Republicans. If the Democrats are congratulating themselves on being more popular than the Republicans, that's a very low bar.)
