Christians Arrested in Iran for Celebrating Easter

Hat tip Jihad Watch

In yet another example of Islamic intolerance, the Middle East war on Christians continues with this report on the arrests of Christians in Iran privately celebrating Easter. Robert Spencer also gives a valuable list of those leading Islamic schools that endorse the death penalty for apostates.

Meanwhile, as the atrocities against Christians roll on from one end of the Islamic world to the other, we have institutions ( I use that word lightly.) like the Islamophobia Research and Documentation Center at UC Berkeley under professional bellyacher Professor Hatem Bazian.

Someone should send this report to the IRDC (How's that for a new acronym?) You see, in this country, we do not arrest and execute people for leaving our "state religion" of Christianity- nor Judaism.

In this country, we don't raid mosques or places of worship for other minority religions and arrest people for attending services there.

In this country, we don't burn down places of worship belonging to minority religions.

In this country, we don't force anybody to convert to the majority religion (Christianity). Nor do we behead people who refuse.

In this country, we don't kidnap schoolgirls and carry them off into slavery or to be married off to our "soldiers".

In this country, we don't hang gays.

In this country, we don't prosecute or kill people for insulting Christianity.

In this country, we don't treat our women like chattel.

In this country, we have no Scriptural basis for calling those of other religions, "apes" or "pigs".

In this country, we don't have car bombs going off in efforts of one Christian or Jewish denomination to kill members of another Christian or Jewish denomination.

In this country, you don't hear calls for violence emanating from our churches and synagogues.

In this country, we don't murder people of other religions. If anybody does, they do not enjoy state sanction. They are prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

Unfortunately, you hardly hear the Bazians and the CAIR people talk about the horrors that are occurring daily in the parts of the world where they hail from.

The list could go on and on. If anyone has this guy's email address they should send him a link to this page. Of course it may be considered Islamaphobia to make these obvious distinctions, but in slander suits the truth is an absolute defense.

BTW, I think it was in Brunai (sp?) that they just adopted Sharia Law. Another triumph for this State Dept and our President! ( I was told by the cab driver that he was in a caravan I saw while I am here in DC. All the major streets were blocked off by police cars along the route, there where about 7 or 8 police motorcycles preceding about 5 SUVs, about 5 trucks and vans following and more police motorcycles following. The cabbie said that only the president and Vice President and foreign dignitaries get parades like that). You get more politics here in one hour than you get in a week in California.
