Benghazi: A Lot of Waiting for the State Department

Robert Lovell, a retired general who served in the US Africa Command hqs during the Benghazi attack, says that they knew in the early stages that it was not a video protest but an actual attack. He also has critical words for the State Department

I guess I could ask when Hillary Clinton is going to respond to this, but I am not holding my breath.

The lies have been revealed. The release of Ben Rhodes' email reveals (as if we needed any more confirmation) that the White House pushed the video talking points and the motives for doing so.

To keep Obama looking good as the election approached.

Sheryl Atkinson, the former ABC commentator who also blew the whistle on the Benghazi lie fest, revealed another email that was widely distributed the night of the attack. The email recognized that the attack was terror born and not a video.
It was also interesting that Jay Carney continued to push the lie yesterday, in the face of the truth.
What was most revealing is the interview with Fox News, Brett Beir , when the then NSC deputy director Veiter stated remarked by saying "Dude, this was two years ago". This cold clammy college chummy response should get him fired, in the face of four A,Erica's who were slaughtered by Al Qaeda. Terrorists. But I suppose he will promoted.
I understand that the House Republicans are going to set up a special investigation. It is about time!

That there was a lot more going on than spontaneous anger over a video doesn't add up to malfeasance in responding to what was going on.

As for making Obama look good before the election, don't try to tell me that before the election all Republicans wanted was to bring out the truth for the good of the country. What enraged them was they saw a neatly timed embarrassment for the president, and gosh darn it all nobody saw it that way, not the media, and, despite massive coverage, not the swing voters.

Sour grapes, sir, sour grapes.
