USC's Embarrassment: The Schwarzenegger Institute for State and Global Policy

Hat tip John Speedie for audio

The University of Southern California, usually noted for brain surgeon football players as the late great LA sportscaster Jim Healy described it, is the latest college to embarrass itself at Fousesquawk albeit for a different reason. Reason? The recently-dedicated (2012) Schwarzenegger Institute for State and Global Policy

"Advancing policy, not politics"

Really? Then what in tarnation are they doing dragging in Chris Matthews?

And Dr Schwarzenegger is also a professor of the "prestigious faculty" of this "institute".

Is this some kind of spring-break prank? The idea of a university having some "institute" named after a ex-body builder, turned ham actor, turned failed governor, who ended his tenure with a corrupt commutation of the sentence of the son of his buddy, Fabian Nunez, in a murder case is enough to make me toss my cookies.
