Bosnewslife is an Eastern European Christian site founded upon the breakaway of the former Soviet Union satellite nations. This below link was cross-posted this morning by Atlas Shrugs from where I found it. It concerns the attack by Syrian rebels against a Christian-majority town and the murder of some 80 Christians, 13 by beheading. Remember, Folks-these are the forces we are supporting in Syria. Bosnewslife received the report from the Barnabas Fund, a Christian aid organization.

How in good conscience can the US government support the Syrian rebels even against an evil ruler like Bashar Assad in the face of these continuing atrocities? I won't pose the same question to US Muslim groups like the Syrian American Council and people like LA CAIR director Hussam Ayloush (who sits on the LA board of the SAC as well). They support the rebels in the hope that an Islamic state will succeed Assad, which it will.
As for Ayloush, I recall last November when he spoke on behalf of the rebels at the (ultra progressive) Universalist Unitarian Church in Riverside, and I asked him why he said nothing about the persecuted Christians in Syria. Of course, he pulled out the Islamophobia card and called me a bigot. That's his standard comeback. As to the Syrian Christians, he could only say that Christians and all ethnic groups were also fighting against Assad.

It is way past time for the US and the West to stop supporting any faction of this horrific war. We can supply aid to civilian refugees and offer refuge to persecuted Christians. Other than that, I say let the fighters fight-without us.
