BDS Brown Shirts at Cornell

Hat tip Legal Insurrection

Professor William Jacobson of the Cornell University School of Law posted this video of  BDS brown shirts taking over a class at the Cornell School of Business while teachers stand silently like potted plants. (At least they called the campus cops.)

"Divest now!"

This is not free speech. This is disruption and interfering with the free speech of others. It should never be tolerated. Hopefully, these dopey punks were arrested, prosecuted and expelled.

It appears that the "Ivy League" schools need to be called the poison ivy schools.
I agree with you Gary, they should be arrested. The supposedly smart Professors just stand there, when they should have dismissed the class, taken pictures of the disruptors and inform haters that they will be arrested by the university police for their deeds.

It makes you wonder where you find better discourse, an American university today or a Munich beer hall in the 1920s.

All it would have taken is for one student to stand up, call the other students to their feet (a fair number would have responded), and

a) shoved these cretins out the door, or,

b) walked out of the room until they left, or,

c), begun walking in circles around the sign-bearers, chanting, "Get out of our classroom, slimy narcissists."

Please, Findalis, I hope they come for you first, because that will be the last Jew they come for. But I don't think they're even going to try.

Gary, those who gathered in the Munich beer hall were plotting something that had an unfortunate bit of substance. The cretins pictured here are mere exhibitionists, who would be blown away by the slightest breeze if they stepped out of their academic cocoon.

Can you imagine them holding a Teamsters picket line against baton-wielding cops during a general strike? I can't.

This is why I don't belong in academia. I would have thrown them out physically and been fired.

Of course, that would have been a few years ago. I am pretty old now. The spirit is still willing but I don't know about the flesh.

Revised tactic: One student with the gumption to act stands up, calls his classmates to their feet, then leads them walking in circles around the banner, clapping hands, and saying nothing.
