I don't make it a practice to post beheading videos, but after careful thought, I am doing so here for one clear purpose-to point out what Syrian Christians are being subjected to.
The below video is being posted on several sites, both in the US and in France (probably in many other countries as well). It shows a Christian captured by rebels who force him to convert to Islam by reciting the oath. They then behead him anyway.

This follows several separate reports that Christians in Syria are being forced to convert to Islam or be beheaded. Keep in mind that the perpetrators of these evil deeds are rebels fighting against the Assad regime. This is not in any way to defend Assad, who is evil in his own right. It is to point out to the reader that these are the same people that our government is siding with and may eventually send American troops to fight alongside (if they can ever figure out which factions don't have links to al Qaeda and other terror groups). It is also the same rebels that organizations in the US like the Syrian American Council want us to support.
If you think that we should send US troops into this cauldron, and the above video is not enough to change your mind, consider also that the numerous rebel factions are now even fighting against each other. Do you want to see images of American soldiers being subjected to this barbarous treatment because they fall into the hands of the wrong faction? I do not.
Hopefully, we have learned our lesson with Libya. Any president who would send our troops to Syria should be impeached, and I don't care if his name is Barack Obama or John McCain.
