State Department: Palestinians Don't Need to Recognize Israel as Jewish State as Part of Any Deal

Hat tip Israel Hayom.com

That's what State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki says.

http://www.israelhayom.com/site/newsletter_article.php?id=16015

"The American position is clear, Israel is a Jewish state," Psaki said. "However, we do not see a need that both sides recognize this position as part of the final agreement."

And this would be a historic agreement? It is this that our administration and John Kerry are pushing so hard to achieve? How many Nobel prizes would this be worth?

And this is just the Palestinian Authority, which holds the West Bank. Gaza is ruled by Hamas, and they are sworn never to recognize Israel or even negotiate. Their mission is to take all of Israel and drive the last into the sea if not kill those who don't get out or as quoted from the hadith in their own charter kill the Jew hiding behind the tree, which will call out to the Muslim, "Oh Muslim. There is a Jew hiding behind me. Come and kill him."

Just what does Israel get out of this deal that we are pushing her so hard to make with the Palestinians? Peace in our time? Isn't it obvious that Mahmoud Abbas is simply following the old stratagem-make peace in a time of weakness until you are strong enough to resume the war?

This crap about making a peace deal between Israel and the "Palestinians" does not need to include Israel as a "Jewish state", by the U.S. State Department, is an attempt to get a deal when there is no chance of peace between the two. The "Palestinians", Gaza, and now the representative Nabil Elaraby, the head of the Arab League, has called on Arab countries to take a “firm stand” against recognizing Israel as a Jewish state. Maybe this is why Swift-Boat Kerry is putting the Jewish state item forward, because he has no chance of completing the peace deal or getting the Nobel peace prize
