We are still awaiting the news on the fate of the missing Malaysian Airlines flight from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing. As we hope for the best, I note as I write that while CNN and Fox News are providing coverage of the story, MSNBC is talking about the CPAC attacks on Jimmy Carter.
Well, at least they are not talking about Chris Christie-at the moment.

I heard a pilot comment that the only way a plane this big could disappear in this manner would be by criminal activity.
Malaysia is a Muslim nation.
It has been reported that two passengers on the Boeing 777 Malaysian plane used stolen passports to board. It is nusual that one passenger uses a phony passport, but two stolen passports is very unlikely. This is looking like a terror attack.

It is too early to conclude terrorism, but China has had a recent terror attack by its Uighur (Muslim) minority. Two stolen passports on board raises eyebrows, though in my DEA days, false passports were often used by drug smugglers (couriers and courier controllers). I am sure that hasn't changed. The flight stage, lack of weather issues and modernity of the aircraft would lend credence to some sort of criminal activity. But we will have to wait and see.
