It had to happen. No sooner does Handsome Henry Waxman announce that he is leaving Congress, Sandra Fluke announces she is running for his seat. She doesn't live in the district, but what the Hell. These are Democrats.
And who is Sandra Fluke, you ask?
Why, she's the gal who testified before Congress about all the hardships being imposed on college co-eds who couldn't get free birth control.

I don't think she's ready for the big time. I don't have any real problem with her testimony, but being a witness in a congressional hearing is not sufficient political experience to run for congress. Unfortunately the Dems seem to have borrowed from the Republicans' playbook: those who are qualified and competent aren't even running in the primary.
Darn, I expected a nice compliment from elwood for that one.
