John Boehner in Retirement

News item: The House of Representatives has passed a "clean" debt-ceiling bill.

It is the year 2030. John Boehner, now living quietly in retirement somewhere in Ohio, sits in his study, surrounded by mementos of his past legislative achievements while in Congress. (The one on the lower left is for orchestrating the passage of the 2014 debt limit bill through the Republican-led House.)

Life is a bit sad these days. The failures of his favorite sports teams, the Browns, the Indians, and the Cavaliers, often bring tears to his eyes. But he gets cards now and then from Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid, thanking him for his past service. That always cheers him up.

But on the other hand, he was saddened to read the other day about a reunion held last week in Washington by the now-defunct Republican Party.

He wasn't invited.

Lately, he has been making calls and writing letters to Ohio universities to see if they would like him to come and speak on their campuses.

Sadly, it seems nobody is interested in hearing what some broken-down member of a defunct party has to say.

So the days pass and he sits and waits...and waits.

Sorry for the non-sequitor. Just wanted you to know that UC Riverside defeated yet another divestment resolution last night.

But don't worry. BDS is on a roll. Unstoppable. Such momentum.

Great news, Dusty. The real question is why so many university student governments are tied up with this issue. Of course the answer is the the MSA-SJP types have infiltrated the governments.

Boehner is a decent enough guy but he is on the wrong side, the losing side, of his party. He believes everyone will love him and the Republicans if only they would agree with Obama and not cause any hassle.

Just as the Democratic party had their intramural fight in 2008 and the Leftist Obama defeated Hillary Clinton so the Republican party is now going through it's reformation... the true conservative will win over the Democratic Lite wing of the party.... just as they did in 2010.

If it hadn't been for illegal use of the IRS to hassle Tea Party organizations and deny them the tax free status the liberal organizations got, then the 2012 election would have had a different outcome..... and the country wouldn't be in the mess it is in now.

THIS is what you get when you elect Democrats. If you want to see what you get when you elect Republicans, look at all the success stories of every Republican governor.
