Omar Barghouti on KPFK Radio

"Can somebody turn up the volume?"

If you want to hear radical leftist rhetoric on the radio in Southern California, look no further than KPFK (90.7 fm). Compared to KPFK, MSNBC is Reagan country. Put this bunch in Wrigley Field and they are so far to the left they would be sitting in Steve Bartman's infamous seat (inside Cub joke).

Steve Bartman and Cub left fielder Moises Alou in 2003 National League playoffs. (I never knew that KPFK had their own corporate box at Wrigley Field.)

But I digress.

So it is hardly surprising that Omar Barghouti during his California tour this past week would sit down for a radio interview on KPFQ.

"Produced by Sejal Patel and hosted by David Lloyd*"

David Lloyd is an English professor at UC Riverside who brought Barghouti to UCR to speak to students this week. He is also a co-founder the the US Campaign for the Academic Boycott of Israel (No agenda there) He "answered" my question during the q and a about whether the faculty was putting their imprimatur on Barghouti's words and whether the university would bring in an opposing point of view. The latter question was not really answered since he termed it "preposterous", but I got the message.

Here is the point: If Omar Barghouti is being interviewed on this station, that is a pretty good clue as to what this character is all about.

But by all means, check out the programming at KPFK and give a listen. You might even enjoy the musical  programming.

"Ah wunnerful, ah wunnerful, ah"
