Christians Martyred: The Numbers Practically Doubled in 2013.

Hat tip Creeping Sharia

When we talk about the persecution of Christians in various parts of the world, it helps to show statistics to go along with the daily news reports. Open Doors, which is a non-denomination organization supporting persecuted Christians, has amassed figures that show that cases of Christians being murdered for their faith doubled in 2013 from 2012. Creeping Sharia has picked up and posted the report by CBS News.

In addition, Open Doors has listed the ten worst countries for Christian persecution. In 9 of those countries, the persecution comes at the hands of Muslim extremists. The lone exception is North Korea. The below post was cross-posted by Creeping Sharia from Christian Post.

If you are  wondering  if anyone in the State Department knows this, they are tasked with tracking this stuff and reporting it. Here is their 2012 report, which is broader in scope.

The numbers would seem to bear out the belief that the problem is getting worse.

SEND THE MARINES!!!

No. Do not send the Marines. Bring them home and bring home our foreign aid and stop issuing visas. Offer sanctuary to religious minorities trying to flee. Better to give them refuge than the Tsarnaev brothers and suspect Somalis who form gangs and return back to the jihad with al Shabaab.

It is very telling when the statistics point to increased Islamist murder of Christians. It further baffles me how the Islamists get away with calling Islam the progressives religion of peace and get a pass. But, it is understandable when the Progressives, the Media and misguided religious leaders engage in phony interfaith dialog when they should be critical of Islamist ideology.

I could be wrong but I can't think of any Christian army that can protect Christians from the ROP across the Middle East. There must be some effort that can be made to protect them, but i don't know who to support.

I I happen to be familiar with Bethlehem and over the years the Christian population of Christians there has declined precipitously because of persecution, again by the ROP. That's BETHLEHEM with all the significance attached to it! They desecrated the Church of the Nativity!

That's not just the Copts in Egypt that are being persecuted it is all the Christians in all the Muslim countries.

There must be something in the Muslim religion that holds that if Muslims live someplace or have lived there.... Simply lived there.... nobody in any other religion can live there. not even anyone from some4 other Muslim sect.

Yes, that is part of the doctrine. That is why they claim Andalusia to this day.

This is why I say, "Don't burn the Koran. Read it."
