Charles Krauthammer's Op-Ed in Washington Post on Academic Anti-Semitism

Hat tip JJ

"We are academics, scholars, researchers and professionals of differing religious and political perspectives. We all agree that singling out Israelis for an academic boycott is wrong. To show our solidarity with our Israeli academics in this matter, we, the undersigned, hereby declare ourselves to be Israeli academics for purposes of any academic boycott. We will regard ourselves as Israeli academics and decline to participate in any activity from which Israeli academics are excluded."

Conservative commentator Charles Krauthammer is as eloquent in writing as he is in speaking. In this op-ed in the Washington Post, he speaks out on the resolution by the American Studies Association calling for an academic boycott of Israel. There is also a link where academic folks can sign a letter opposing this expression of anti-Semitism. I guess I qualify, so I have signed it.

Thank you, Mr Krauthammer. The problem is that the resurgence in anti-Semitism in the US has as its focal point, the universities. This is where we must fight the battle most strenuously.
