Sister Hatune Dogan Speaks at an Austrian Cathedral

Hat tip Vlad Tepes

I am cross-posting this video from Vlad Tepes. In the video, recorded December 10 in the St Stephans Cathedral in Vienna,  Sister Hatune Dogan,  a native of Turkey who had to leave the country because of her Christian beliefs, describes her recent visit to the Middle East to aid Syrian refugees. She tells of the persecution on-going against the Syrian Christian community. It is in German with English sub-titles.

Needless to say, this is a speech that should be given in every church in the world. Instead we get Western Christian (and Jewish) clerics who will not mutter a word because they don't want to offend their Muslim partners in interfaith activities-activities which do not include asking their Muslim counterparts why Christians are being persecuted all over the Muslim world. I vividly remember attending the annual conference of the Muslim Public Affairs Council held in December 2012 at the All Saints Episcopal Church in Pasadena, which is ministered by a progressive pastor named Ed Bacon. On that day, Bacon told his audience that the history of Christianity was littered with evil and included something called "Evangelical Zionism" as one of the examples.

It would be refreshing if just one of these Christian pastors in the West protested to their Muslim counterparts about the treatment of Christians in the Muslim world. Make it an issue. Let them know that we are paying attention to what is happening. Tell them that until the persecution stops we will not accept their blandishments about all being part of the Abrahamaic faith and peace and love, etc.

Instead we get lectures about "Evangelical Zionism".
