You need a better nickname than "Run Down Jerry Brown". Love him or hate him, the man's a shrewd politician who not only beat somebody who had a LOT more money than him, but he managed to get his initiatives passed.

Plus, the California economy is turning around under him. Run down? Hardly. The last two governors didn't have much impact on the state as far as I can tell (at least, not a good one).

Anonymous,

You are right about one thing. The last two governors were terrible.

Brown vetoed the measure that would have allowed non-citizens to serve on juries.

Also, I don't believe the law singled out noncitizens illegally present. If discovered to be such, they would be removed from the country, and therefore would not be practicing law in California.

And they still can't vote.

They are not always, in fact sometimes seldom, removed from the country (that is among the reasons. but not the only one, why there are so many of them here), and some/many of them do in fact vote in certain areas at certain times.

elwood, are you infatuated with an anxiety closet, or curled up in bed worrying about the monsters underneath?

Name one known immigrant without legal papers who has voted. Name two. Name three. Define "many" and name that many names. No? But its got to be true, some radio talk show host said so.
