John Kerry in Malaysia

Hat tip Frontpage Magazine

John Kerry, visiting this week in Malaysia held up the country as a model  for the world when it comes to diversity, mosaics or some such thing. As usual, his timing couldn't have been "better".

At the same time, a Malaysian appeals court made this ruling against Christian Malays, who have traditionally used the word "Allah" to refer to God. That's a no-no.

Daniel Greenfield in Frontpage Magazine has more on this. It seems Malaysia is hardly a model for the world.

Let me add that I visited Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur and Penang) back in the 1970s when I was living in Bangkok. At the time, it was a pretty nice country. Of course, at that time, we were not living through the wave of Islamism sweeping the world that we have now. Sad, but it seems the Malaysians are being swept up in it as well.
