As expected, President Obama has nominated a non-entity to be the next DHS director.

But there is good news. With Johnson replacing Napolitano, DHS won't have to change their theme song.
And that will save tax-payers millions.

Potentially plausible concern, although its certainly a case of the pot calling the kettle black. Remember "Brownie"? The Bush fundraiser put in charge of FEMA? HE wasn't an isolated case. Both parties do this routinely, while lambasting each other for same.
But experience as a Pentagon lawyer is not too far outside the box of relevant experience, if you remember that Homeland Security has to walk the fine line of an effective program to prevent terrorism while respecting the civil liberties of those Fousesquawk expresses sympathy for from time to time.
