Hat tip Coptic Solidarity
Even with the horrific events unfolding in Syria and the possibility that we may intervene in them, we should not take our eyes off what is happening to the Christian minority in Egypt. Below from Coptic Solidarity is an article on the recent attacks against Copts in Deir-Mavas.

At what point does the civilized world stand up and tell Muslims that we will not stand for their hate and intolerance? Not that all Muslims are guilty, but they seem unable or unwilling to stand up to the hateful and destructive elements. In the US, organizations like CAIR, ISNA, ICNA, MPAC and others ignore the persecution carried out b their coreligionists in Muslim majority countries while making exaggerated and unjustified claims of Islamophobia in the US. If only the Christians in Egypt were treated as we treat Muslims in the US.
I am not advocating that the US go into Egypt. With the military in power, it seems that diplomatic pressure on them to protect religious minorities will work. After all, it is the Muslim Brotherhood that is directing these attacks by their followers-no matter how much they deny it. I look to the military to ignore international voices supporting the Brotherhood and crush it while providing a safe environment for Copts to live and worship in while also protecting the peace with Israel.

When we're ready to send in the marines to show that we mean it.
The famous liberal supposed truism "Nothing is solved by war" was refuted by Churchill by noting that nothing is really solved except by War.
That has to be a Egyptian military response against all those who participated in attacks on Christian churches. The military can identify the attackers wherever possible and make them pay such a price that they will know to refrain from such activities, no matter how much the imams may urge them to action.
..
Miggie, what makes you think the Egyptian military care?
