UNC Cuts Funding for Conservative Speakers

Hat tip Daily Caller

"They are non-intellectual"

That's what the College Republicans at the University of North Carolina have been told by the Student Congress (future Harry Reids and Nancy Pelosis) as they try to get funding to bring in a couple of conservative speakers.

We seem to have a similar problem  at UC Irvine. Here are some of the "intellectual" speakers we have been treated to over the years:

Cynthia McKinney
George Galloway
Amir Abdul Malik Ali "You Jews are the new Nazis, Rupert Murdoch-straight up Zionist Jew"
Mohammed al Asi "You can take a Jew out to the ghetto, but you can't take the ghetto out of the Jew."
Abdul Alim Musa
Matan Cohen and Rachel Roberts of Jewish Voice for Peace "Useless discourse"
Rabbi Ysroel Dovid Weiss "Iran takes care of its Jews"
Hatem Bazian
Norman Finkelstein
William Robinson (Prof, at UCSB)
Sohail Daulatzai (Prof. at UC Irvine)
Elizabeth Holtzman
James Lafferty (National Lawyers Guild)

I could go on all day not to mention what the wind has blown onto other UC campuses (like Louis Farrakhan at Berkeley and Janet Napolitano at UCLA).

Whoops! She's our incoming president!

How about no funding for any speakers?

Any campus organization that wants to bring in a speaker can do their own fundraising.

There might be a kind of check-off process: If you want $5 for the speaker fund of any of the following organization added to your students fees, indicate by checking your preferred organization here.
