On Saturday, I was in Ramona, California speaking before the Ramona Tea Party, which for me was a great honor. One of the people I met is organizing an event in San Diego on September 14, and I am posting the details here for those of you who may be in the area on that date.
The United States Patriot Union and its subsidiary organization, Veteran Defenders of America, will be holding an event whose theme is "Restore our Constitution". The two featured speakers will be Shirley Husar of the Washington Times and Barbara Ketay, co-founder of the US Patriot Union and past president of the US Bar Association.
The event will take place at the Sky Bar Sports Grill, 4809 Clairemont Dr, San Diego 92117 (Clairemont Square Shopping Center). A buffet luncheon is included. The cost is $20. I will be out of the country on that date, but if you drop in, tell them Fousesquawk sent you.
If you need further information, you can contact them at patriotsunion@aol.com.

These clowns talking about restoring our Constitution sounds a bit like the Muslim Student Union spearheading a campaign to put Christ back in Christmas.
Readers should not be fooled by reference to "the U.S. Bar Association." The big cheese, perhaps not deservedly so, is the American Bay Association (ABA). Then there is the National Bar Association (founded by black lawyers denied admission to the ABA). The National Lawyers Guild is for left-wing lawyers dissatisfied with the ABA. The U.S. Bay Association is for right-wing lawyers who want their turn to be ineffectual loud-mouthed dissidents.
Siarlys,
Slight correction. I don't know who these bay associations are unless you are referring to a bunch of fishermen, but the national lawyers Guild was founded in the 1930s as a legal arm for the communist party USA.
Excuse the non-sequitor. Any feelings about California Assembly Concurrent Resolution 76?

Re: Freedom of speech:institutions of higher education.
This measure would recognize the importance of the right of
freedom of speech, would condemn biased, hurtful, and dangerous
speech intended to stoke fear and intimidation in its listeners,
as specified, and would encourage public postsecondary
educational institutions to ensure that they provide a safe,
encouraging environment for exercising the right of freedom of
speech.
Anonymous,
Not really up to speed on it. The wording sounds good, but of course, i am suspicious of any legislation coming out of Sacramento. I wonder who will determine and judge the speech. I note that Jewish Voice for Peace is against it, so there must be something good about it.
