Hat tip to Ann

Photo: ‎I send you peace and grace from Egypt hoping my letter find you in great health.
Egypt is going through very difficult times from the Muslim brotherhood , through this recent fightings some died and some injured , they burned 9 churches , they are giving Christian very hard times specially in Al-Minia and Alexandria and Cairo , the people attend the service in the church are scared of the Muslim invade the church while they are praying . There is danger for the whole world from the Muslim brotherhood and the strict Muslim , what's happening in Egypt it could happen anywhere in the world because the are against the way we live or dress the way we worship , to them they can kill any one dose not follow the Shariaa , they think that they doing favor to there god. Please take this matter serious , please pray for us and the pastors for God to surround us and the Christians in the Middle East . Please share this message with other Christian we need shower of prayers.

May the bless you all individually .

Reuters has published a statement by Coptic Solidarity describing the situation in Egypt and criticizing Western governments for supporting the Muslim Brotherhood. As we speak on this Friday, the MB has issued a call for a "day of rage"  against the Egyptian government. How many attacks against Coptic Christians will that entail?

Are we witnessing a genocide against the Christians in the Middle East? Does anybody care?

How many divisions are we sending to defend the Copts?

None, but if Obama wants to bring refugees from the ME to the US, these should be the first.

And what will you say when unemployed children of Copts stashed in some former fishing village in Maine turn out to be a source of petty crime and some new drug gangs?

I'm not even saying we shouldn't admit them... but your facile assumptions that certain ethnicities bring trouble, therefore are not legitimate refugees, while others are pristine and pure and will make Good Citizens, every one of them, betray a good deal of wishful thinking.

There's not much being said about the Copts now that couldn't be legitimately said about the particular categories of Somalis that were admitted twenty or more years ago.

Unlike Somali, Egypt is a country with a long culture and education. In addition, Copts don't bring a certain ideology with them.

I said ideology-not religion.
