George Galloway Under Investigation in UK

What else is new?

Could this be George's future?

It seems British comedian George Galloway is under investigation by the British Charity Commission for his handling of the Viva Palestina funds. It also seems, according to the article, that Viva Palestina has gone belly up.

Rest assured, I will make it a point to send them all the details on George's May 2009 appearance at UC Irvine, where the hat was passed for that venture that donated to Hamas in Gaza. Who knows? Maybe I'll even get a free trip to London out of it.

On second thought.....

"Viva Palestina is nearly 900 days overdue in filing accounts with the Charity Commission since 2010."

I suppose that is another way of saying that Viva Palestina NEVER filed anything with the Charity Commission.

And UCI never found that anyone broke campus rules about not having fundraisers on campus, lying on the application to the university, or the Chief Enforcement Officer failing to report anything was out of place or unusual at the event. You would think he would at least know the Campus Code. But then again, they investigated it and couldn't see anything wrong.

I guess this selective application of the rules comes as naturally to academia as it does to the Obama Administration. It is the tell tale signature that not only are things wrong but that they are worse than what is on the surface.

Hoefully, the British will put George out of business with his Hamas connection and funding.

UCI and DOJ did nothing about the obvious violations. Maybe the Brits will do something. I will send them the info for whatever it's worth.

As you will recall there were about 800 people at the event. There were collection boxes already prepared as well as people designated to pick them up at the end of each aisle.

It is odd to contemplate that the Brits would do more about Muslim swindles than they would do in the US.

Miggie,

I have already sent my letter to the commission-for whatever it is worth.
