We cannot call Gore stupid because he knows how to make a lot of money e.g., selling his failed TV station to al Jizzera.
Although, the TV station was not the first failure, as he failed in his Chicago Climate Exchange, selling carbon credits.
But, we can call him a "Schmuck".
