The news is starting to break in the blogosphere that new explicit pictures have emerged of Anthony Weiner which were reportedly sent to a young woman a year after he resigned from office. I'll run with the Huffington Post article.

Of course, this probably won't hurt his standing in the polls. He is the front runner in the mayoral race and since this allegedly happened last year, it's well, old news. If this is what New York wants as a mayor, let them have the guy.
Time to move on (until the next pics turn up).
Update: Wiener has released a statement and is holding a news conference. The statement says nothing about when he sent the latest pics.

Update: So Weiner has just appeared with Huma. Both made statements (Huma is standing by her man) and Weiner took a handful of questions. I was getting feedback in the sound, but I think he acknowledged in an answer to a question that the activity may have gone on as long as last summer (which has been reported). Yet, standing in front of a bank of microphones with a Weiner for Mayor sign, he insisted that it was behind him and he is moving forweard.
Is this man even in touch with reality?

Man! There must be some consulting firm that specializes in apologies. How do you say enough to come across as truly contrite without revealing the extent of it all and no intention of stopping?
The Dems have some bench, with Weiner, Spitzer, Sharpton, Pelosi, Reid, Rev. Wright, and Clinton all waiting their turn on the throne.

Maybe Wiener's handlers can convince him
Miggie, I'm not aware that Pelosi, Reid, Wright, or H. Clinton have been accused of marital infidelities, nor that Wright is even a Democrat, and remember Mark Sanford just got elected to congress because in South Carolina, if you're a Republican, marital infidelities don't matter.
But the details on Carlos Danger are kind of amusing, if true, or even if false.
