Retired IRS official Carter Hull is testifying today that the matter of Tea party tax-exempt applications was, indeed, handled at the HQ level in Washington. So now the spotlight is turning back to Lois the 5th-as in 5th amendment- Lerner, as well as the IRS Chief Counsel, William Wilkins, who was appointed by Obama. We may be getting close to that moment when the president declares executive privilege as he did in Operation Fast and Furious.
*Update: There is more. Senator Charles Grassley (R-IA) is asking why the DOJ declined prosecution on a case sent to them by the Inspector General, J. Russell George, which concened improper disclosure and handling of tax records of political donors.
