"I know I am, but what are you?"
-Famous children's phrase
No, he didn't call him a weener; he called him a bad husband for dragging out Huma Adebin (that's Anthony Weiner's wife) out on the campaign trail and exposing her to all those embarrassing questions.

"I will not be taking questions. I will report back to you in short order."
-Great husband Eliot Spitzer with wife, Silda, after admitting he did something (unspecified) bad.
Of course, we all know that Huma stood by her man during last week's press conference. It was embarrassing. It was humiliating. Weiner is, indeed, a weener.
But what is Spitzer?

So what is the difference here? Spitzer is a better man because his wife isn't with him on the campaign trail-only because she is planning to file for divorce? And this guy who allegedly blew $80,000 on hookers, is running to be New York City comptroller???
Wow. (hat tip John Speedie)
But here is the good news. Since Weiner and Spitzer are running for separate offices, voters don't have to hold their noses and vote for one or the other. Problem is, knowing New York, they will probably elect both of them.
"We'll all have the Wienerspitzer."

Guys like Spitzer and Weiner will make NY look like Detroit.
Guys like Obama will make America look like Detroit.
This Weiner/Spitzer episode is the apez of absence of shame. Shame has become a backburner word that does not exist for many current politicians. Without shame, politicians can justify any act to promote their idea of great good (in their mind's eye). Weiner and Stitzer had no shame when they conducted themselves in less than honorable ways. Indeed, where is the shame when Susan Rice lied about the Benghazi terrorist attack on our heroic men? Where is the shame when Eric Holder and Clapper lied to Congress. Where is the shame when Hillary Clinton hide out that night of the Benghazi attack and went before Congree to say: "What difference, at this time, does it make." Where is the shame when Barack Obama calls the tragic events of Fast and Furious and Benghazi, "phony scandals".
