MSNBC's Ed Schultz doesn't make so many headlines now that he has been demoted to weekend duty. As such, he shares "prime time" with Lock Up. But he has raised his head from underneath the mushroom this week by blaming Detroit's bankruptcy on "a lot of Republican policies".

Of course, the above Examiner article brings up a fun fact that Ed the Brain Surgeon probably didn't consider. Detroit has been under steady Democratic rule since 1962. Was it the Republicans who destroyed the school system? Was it Republicans who drove people out of the city by the millions? Was it Republicans who produced an illiteracy rate at 60% by some estimates since 1962?

But wait! Isn't Detroit the city that Obama saved with his bailouts? Detroit is back. The car industry is back.
1962-2013: 51 years of Democrat rule.
What went wrong?
