“I have to admit, I am a little concerned that this type of forum could have a chilling effect on the operations of inspectors general,” George said, referring specifically to the second-guessing of how the audit was run.
He added: “We’ve never treated an IG office like this.”
The inspector general who oversees the IRS, J Russell George, is refusing to go along with the Democratic talking points that the IRS also scrutinized progressive groups applying for tax-exempt status. As a result, he is taking a beating from people like Elijah Cummings (D-MD). He is not taking it lying down.

Apparently, Cummings and his cronies are more used to inspectors who play ball with their bosses and cover up for them (Fast and Furious, for example).
This week's hearings are providing important details as to who was ordering whom to do what in the IRS matter. The Dems are clearly running interfernce for the White House-as they always do.
