With a mass demonstration against Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi scheduled for Sunday and promised counter-action by the Islamists, Egypt is on its way to becoming either the next Iran or the next Syria. Caught in the middle are the Coptic Christians, a persecuted minority. Here is a troubling update from NBC News on their situation in Egypt.

Who can blame the Copts for fleeing Egypt? If the US and the Western nations are so hell bent on admitting refugees and increasing multi-culturalism, here is a good place to start rather than what they are bringing in now. ( I am referring to those who bring hate, intolerance, rioting, crime and terror.) These people are truly in need of refuge, and there is no indication they would cause problems in their new countries.
If President Obama wants to bring in thousands of people from the Middle East to enrich our shores, I suggest he open the doors for the Copts of Egypt.

I wonder if the ROP's murderous animus is against all non- Muslims or if there is a hierarchy of groups they hate. Certainly if there is a hate list, the Jews have to be at the top of the list. Perhaps this series of ah, episodes qualifies the Copts for second place, followed closely by Catholics or perhaps all Christians. Then again, just based on the death tolls approaching 100,000 in the last two years, the pro-Assad Muslims could claim a high rank. Then again there are the Shia/Sunni wars.
A case can be made for anyone so I suppose the first premise (anyone not in my tribe, my sect, my town, or my family) is the logical choice.
Maybe one of your anonymous posters can clear this up.

Maybe the Copts need their own homeland. How about giving them Alexandria, and the Brothers can keep Cairo?
