British Justice in Action

Hat tip Jihad Watch

Tommy Robinson and Kevin Carroll of the English Defense League are holding a charity walk in support of the British military. The police don't want them to walk down the street. Suddenly, Carroll is punched by a guy opposed to the EDL. Guess who gets arrested.

Me thinks had British soldier Lee Rigby survived the murderous attack last month, he would have been charged-for walking down the street and provoking his attackers.

What a country! Or should I say former country?

Now, what was it Gary Fouse said about a moving situation where you think the police are wrong? Did he say "Get up in the officer's face and demand that the officer do what you want the officer to do, while disregarding the officer's instructions entirely?" I didn't think so. I had a sense that this "Walk for Charity" was a cover for something else, and the police were trying to stop it BEFORE the punch was thrown.

Whoever threw the punch should be arrested. Its not entirely clear that they were not -- and you know you blogs with a point of view twist things.

Now, the EDF... if a Buchenwald survivor living in Skokie Illinois had thrown a punch at one of Frank Collin's goons during their pathetic march some years back, would you have wanted the man arrested for it? Would a jury of his peers have convicted him? EDF are just a new incarnation of the SA -- not the SS, which was full of Ph.D's, but the SA, the working class Nazis. That type is always betrayed when their leaders come to power, but boy are they useful idiots until the Night of the Long Knives.

Siarlys,

I think I myself would have thrown a punch at the nazi guys in Skokie, but I accept that I would have been arrested for it.

Let's face it though; Britain has buckled under to extreme Islamism. How many times have they arrested Anjem choudary and his band of poster bearers calling for beheadings of those who insult Islam?

Posters are one thing. Pulling out a knife is another. British government is a bit confused, at many levels, but what government isn't? "Buckled under to Islam" is a bit of a stretch.

I American we used to hang opposing personalities in effigy... which wasn't so bad as long as we left the real live person alone. When some mob crossed that line, it became a felony.
