Orange County 2012 "Hate Report"
It's here, Folks. The 2012 Orange County Human Relations Commission Report on hate crimes. This past year, according to the report, there were a grand total of 61 hate crimes in Orange County-down 21% from last year. Which might lead one to question why we even need such a commission to put together this pamphlet at a cost of $250,000 a year.
Here it is-all 8 pages by my count-including the fancy cover.

As previously noted, the OCHRC is under attack from many quarters-including this one. Last year, the OC Board of Supervisors voted to cut funding from $300,000 a year to $250,000 a year with a goal of transitioning this outfit to private funding. In short, this is a huge white elephant in Orange County. Ethnic and religious strife in our county is not a big problem, as even the numbers show- hardly big enough to justify this feel-good agency run by a political hack named Rusty Kennedy.
(He's the guy in the lower right.)
But, as commission member Ken Inouye told the Orange County Register this week, "The commission believes our mission will not be finished until there is no hate crime."
It's called "job security".

I'm with you all the way Gary. I can't think of a crime that isn't motivated at least in part by hate, or at least indifference, and isn't that a kind of prejudicial hate in itself?
Till there is no hate crime... That would be "when we all get to heaven."
(You might be a closet Calvinist if you find yourself objecting to the hymn, "When We All Get to Heaven.")
