"One of the emails apparently showed a top State Department official saying a group affiliated with Islamic terrorists was responsible for the strike. Separate emails, though, allegedly depict the White House and State Department pressing lower-level officials to remove references to terrorism in talking points about the attacks.

"The State Department was caught in another lie yesterday as well. While the hearings were getting underway, Republicans revealed that Ambassador Thomas Pickering, co-chairman of the ARB, refused to testify. State countered that Republicans refused to let him. Frederick Hill, spokesman for Committee chairman Darryl Issa (R-CA), produced a letter dated February 22 inviting Pickering to testify. “Ambassador Pickering initially told the Committee he was not available on that date,” Hill told ABC News. “When asked about a different date, he said he was not inclined to testify.”
Lies, lies, and more lies-all in order to save the hides of a lackadaisical president who was too absorbed in his campaign and his assertion that Al Qaeda was on the run to even take action on 9-11 and an incompetent secretary of state (Hillary Clinton) who is preparing to run for president in 3 years.
Richard Nixon, with all his flaws and misdeeds in Watergate, was never this cynical and corrupt.

The true shame in the Far Right’s obsession with this tragedy is the effect on the families of the victims. This entire process is being instrumented as a ruse to attempt to shame Hillary Clinton and our President. Our Republican Congressmen spend their days trying to Bamboozle Obama instead of doing what they are paid for by representing their constituents. Finally, if what happened in Benghazi before during and after doesn't bother you, there is not much else I can say to you. Have a nice life.

That is rather like saying that Adolf Hitler with all his flaws and misdeeds was never so cynical and corrupt as George Washington (who did have his flaws, we know).
Gary, you and Findalis have a serious case of subpoenas envy. You're sitting in a corner pouting, its OUR TURN for a scandal! Democrats had Watergate, now its OUR TURN! We WANT a scandal, it doesn't matter that the facts are utterly different, its OUR TURN. It IS.
Where is OUR scandal?
As for caring about what happened in Benghazi, I've seen no evidence that you or Republicans in congress care in the least about what DID happen in Benghazi or how to IMPROVE the relevant chains of command. All you care about is whether you can throw some mud at a president you didn't vote for. Sour grapes indeed.
Incidentally, my mother, the Republican in the family, graduated from Harriman (Tennessee) High School. You got a problem with that? What kind of liberal California elitism are you pushing, anyway?
