Touré : Is This Another Embarrassment for MSNBC?

Or is it Tourè?

I have mentioned this guy known as Touré of MSNBC a few times. He is a young talking head who basically fits right in with the other left-wing yahoos at this silly outlet. Just the fact that he goes by this moniker (Touré ) pretty much tells you all you need to know. Now comes this Daily Caller piece on Touré 's college days at Emory. I am not sure what to make of it.

So the guy was wallowing in black identity and black victimhood back in his college days a couple of decades ago. He is hardly the only one. If those are the classes you want to take in college, that's what you will come out thinking. Has he evolved with a few more years maturity together with the evolving of the US racial attitudes? Who knows?

Who cares?

Of course, were he a bit older, I would take him more seriously because his parents' generation certainly experienced the bad old days. Without knowing him, I seriously doubt he has suffered the kind of discrimination his parents and grandparents did. He seems to be doing OK.

So I am not really concerned what he was thinking as a college student 20 years ago. A lot of the fault has to go to the professors. Yet here is the product of a university education based on the politics of identity.

None of this, of course, will cause him any problems at MSNBC. After all, they also have Al Sharpton, with his sordid past and anti-Semitic statements. On the left, these things just don't matter.

But if in the year 2013, this young man wants to continue his life having hang ups about white society, be my guest. Most of us have learned to live with each other.
